REVIEW OF PLACES TO STAY IN NORTHERN PORTUGAL
Pensao Duas Nacoes- I think it translates to Pension of Dual Nationalities. The room with the balcony in the front is cool to get a little bit of the flair of the city but the bus stop in the front is a bit noisy and you get a bit of noise from the street. There was a guy at like 2 or 3 a.m. who was banging his fist on the public pay phone to try and get his change back who woke me up. There is a dope set of stores under it that serve good cofee and pastries. No wireless signal
CASA POMBRA- Run by a dutch lady it was full of couples as old as my parents. The rooms are mad eclectic and are small. It is in an ancient townhouse on top of the hill. Some of the rooms have really dope views over the city. They have a good breakfast. My room was on the top floor so the wireless signal did not reach. They did have a wireless signal that was free. My room was on the top and there was a storm that night. I heard the wind howl and rain patter on the roof.
PAINTSHOP HOSTEL- Was being run by a couple from the UK who were mad friendly and helpfull. The place was empty besides 2 other people. There is a wireless signal, DVD's pool table and a bar. It is called the paintshop because it is in a former car paintshop. The double room had a decent view the bathroom is right next door. The lobby is also the kitchen. The bar in the back is nice and the people whom run it are down to earth and good to get local insight into the area and other areas over a beer.
It rained alot today.
