December 29
It was rainy in Athens for a few days So I skipped the sites and did the museum things. Finally I woke up and the sun was out .So i hurried to to the tourist thang at the Acropolis. Sitting there drawing it I was thinking about how artists probably have drawn this thing for ages. Before everyone and their grandma had a digi cam and could just click away delete on the spot the world had to depend on illustrators and i was happy to be able to draw such a historical place. Then i realized I was just drawing boring columns after columns. It also made me think about the 7 wonders of the Ancient world and which ones i have been too and which ones I haven't.
* Stonehenge------ Have not been there
* Coliseum------- Been there done that
* Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa----Never heard of It
* Great Wall of China-----Been there done that
* Porcelain Tower of Nanjing---Never heard of It
* Hagia Sophia----Been there done that
* Leaning Tower of Pisa---Been there done that
